California Wine with British, Irish and Scottish?

Published by at 6:22 am under california wine

Do the people in England, Ireland and Scotland drink wine from California, USA? What do they think of our wine?

Californian wines are available in both the UK and in Ireland and are, as a general rule, considered to be decent wines. As with any wine, though, quality varies from vineyard to vineyard.

Yup, plenty of them are available here in Scotland.
Can be harder to get some of your better ones as the big brands swamp the supermarkets with poor to OK quality wines as they basically push them at prices the supermarkets find hard to refuse.
However, with a little leg work and knowledge we can get some of your excellent stuff through good off-licences (liquor stores) and specialist independant retailers.
