like everyone else said.... red wines supposed to be rm temp. all whites are to stay cold. unless its more than a week.

Garbage cans aren’t usually refrigerated.
Just kidding. Stick it in the refrigerator and if it takes up too much room, have another party.

You can drink it if you can stand the taste. Key is keeping it cold and free from extra oxygen. It will taste flat and a bit funky, but still get you drunk. I've found open wines to give me unusual headaches the next day, but I'm guessing you have already drunk the wine by now and can tell me if I'm right or wrong.

Leave it at room temp and it should be fine. If it takes longer than a week you might consider sticking it in the fridge until you're ready to drink it.

barbera, aglianico, salice salentino … riserva versions preferably

One of my favorites is
Concha y Toro Puente Alto Don Melchor 2003 around $70
The 2004 is also excellent.
