What is your favorite brand of Merlot Wine?

Published by at 6:23 am under merlot wine

Mine in particular is Woodbridge Merlot. I have had many others, but if any wine drinker out there knows of any other brands compared to it, or maybe any ideas of a certain type of wine, I’d be interested to hear about this…

If you want to take the step to premium brands, try Stags Leap, Rutherford Hill or Twomey (made by Silver Oak).

If you want to try some similar varietal wines try a Malbec, Carmenere (many Chilean Merlots are actually mislabeled Carmeneres) or a Shiraz.

Sounds like the wine bug is starting to bite you, enjoy your search!

    I love St. Francis Merlot.
For a less expensive brand….Blackstone is a safe bet.

If I just want to get a quick bottle from the grocery/liquor store, I usually go with "Smoking Loon." It is a good, inexpensive Merlot.

Some other that you may have to dig for is Santa Ema and Columbia Crest Grand Estates 2004. Enjoy.

    Tangley Oaks Merlot 2003

This is an incredibly well structured wine with amazing length and great earthy soft finish. Tonnes of flavors and smells to fill your glass.
